Visiting the island of Ibiza

As you know, Casa Luis Apartments is located in the northeast part of the island of Ibiza. Visiting the island from the apartments is very simple. If you have a car you should just take the main road to Ibiza town which then leads to all directions. If you want to travel by bus, the town of Santa Eulària is connected to the main towns of the island by different bus routes. You can find more information at the site www.ibizabus.com

The most important city in the island is Ibiza town. The main attraction of the capital of the island is the walled city of Dalt Vila, declared a World Heritage Site in 1999, it’s full of narrow streets and monuments such as the Castle and the Cathedral. When walking through Dalt Vila you can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the walls and the spectacular views of the city and the sea. Below Dalt Vila is La Marina district, which during the day is a paradise for shopping lovers and in the evening and night its terraces and streets become the main spot for entertainment and fun. Other areas we can highlight of Ibiza town are Paseo Vara de Rey and Plaza del Parque as well as the new marina where you’ll find the most trendy nightlife places and clubs.

Near Ibiza town, within the municipality of Sant Josep is the Natural Park of Ses Salines, well known for its beautiful wild nature and its stunning beaches. If we continue along the coast we find dozens of coves and crystal clear water beaches with lots of great restaurants. One of the most important spots of the coast is the Natural Reserve of Es Vedrà, Es Vedranell i els Illots Ponent. The island of Es Vedrà is Ibiza’s icon isle, it’s located in front of the beautiful beach of Cala d’Hort and its sunsets are gorgeous and unique.

Following the coast we find many beaches of great beauty where enjoying the sunset is simply amazing, such as Vadella Cala, Cala Tarida and the famous beach of Platges de Comte.

Another coastal town well known for its sunsets and big nightlife scene is Sant Antoni. And continuing north we’ll find the most rural and traditional side of Ibiza which is well reflected in its fields, landscapes and villages: Sant Rafel, Santa Agnès, the beautiful and charming village of Santa Gertrudis, Sant Miquel, Sant Joan and other smaller villages with an enormous appeal.
The north coast is also well known for its beaches, we can highlight Port de Sant Miquel, Cala Benirràs and its amazing sunsets, Cala San Vicente and Cala d’en Serra, a cozy little cove next to Portinatx.
